Previously reported by VRFocus was Resolution Games’ VR fishing title Bait! and its expansion as a title. Now it has been reported that the CEO of the studio will be attending Pocket Gamer Connects (PG Connects) in the capital of Finland next month to share more about Google’s upcoming virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD).
Tommy Palm, CEO of Resolution Games, is to speak during a keynote on the first day of PG Connects in Helsinki about Google’s newest VR platform to come out in the next few months, Daydream.
Resolution Games is the developing studio of Bait!, a fishing simulator which is also one of Samsung Gear VR’s biggest selling VR videogames, with over 700,000 downloads. Although this clearly isn’t anything to do with Google’s Daydream, Tommy Palm will give insight into the mobile-based HMD, which hints and lends itself towards the future of Resolution’s future plans for the technology.
It is also said that this will set the time for the morning of the second day, and features further sessions from VR and AR voices, so it can be safely assumed that Google’s Daydream will crop up a fair few times during this event.
It is said in the press release that “We’re delighted to have Tommy at the show as part of our continued focus to increase the VR presence at PG Connects events, which at Helsinki this year includes both a VR expo area and the brand new VR Big Indie Pitch”
PG Connects will run from 5th – 6th September, and tickets are still available.
