October is already a very busy month, with both the launch of the Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’S) PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD) and before it the third Oculus Connect conference which promises more than fifty different talks and what is bound to be a bounty of virtual reality (VR) news.
Now comes the announcement that between these two dates on October 11th the former SEA-VR, now known as the IMMERSE Summit will be returning, also for the third time. Held by the Washington Interactive Network in partnership with Envelop VR, IMMERSE looks to champion companies, innovations and innovators in all three ‘Reality’ fields: mixed reality (MR), augmented reality (AR) and of course VR.
Already confirmed for the one-day event are keynote speeches from representatives from both Ford and AMD (Corporate VP of Alliances, Content & VR Roy Taylor doing the honours here), multiple tracks relating to topics such as manufacturing industry, health and medicine, education, architecture and design and much more. As well as a traditionally busy expo floor, which promises to have over forty exhibitors.
IMMERSE will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue with tickets costing $85(USD) as an early bird price raising to $100(USD) after midnight on August 31st 2016. For more information about tickets and the event in general visit immersesummit.com.
VRFocus will bring you more information on the event in the weeks ahead.
