Vuzix Ships First M300 AR Smart Glasses to New VIP Partners XOEye Technologies

Previously Vuzix had announced the launch of its new program, the Vuzix Industrial Partners (VIP), only less than a month ago, and it is an invitation-only scheme that brings on board the types of companies that they want developing and enhancing the augmented reality (AR) eyewear – and those who successfully developed for the previously released M100 tech. It has now been announced that XOEye Technologies has been taken on board as a VIP, and the first pair of M300 Smart Glasses has been shipped to them.

XOEye Technologies has received early shipment of the first M300 Smart Glasses to encorporate into its own XOEye Vision software. The company aims to enhance skilled workers in their jobs, and increase the number of them in their field by helping them on the job. For example, if an electrician was to carry out a complicated job, they would need to be sufficiently trained to know all they had to do. Now, there is a bit of leeway let as the glasses would help them if they didn’t know every step.

“We are excited about the results Lee Company has experienced. With our addition as a VIP, we expect to support accelerated adoption of the XOEye-enabled Vuzix product as the smart glasses market expands and deployments proliferate. The support the VIP program provides will enable us to execute on a larger scale,” commented Aaron Salow, Chief Executive Officer XOEye Technologies.

“The new ergonomics and features of the M300, which is the next evolution of M100, should propel partner applications such as XOEye’s Vision to even larger deployments with existing M100 customers upgrading and adding to a growing customer base for the M300. As Vuzix continues to expand support for our VIPs, it will ensure that our customers receive the best value, in terms of return on investment, mass deployability, and competitive advantage,” said Paul Travers, President and Chief Executive Officer at Vuzix.
