Dolby Atmos Now Available on Jaunt’s VR App

World renowned audio, video and voice technology company Dolby Laboratories is bringing its latest cinematic sound tech, Dolby Atmos, to virtual reality (VR) thanks to Jaunt. Jaunt has announced the launch of a Dolby Atmos portal on its app aimed at enhancing viewers experiences of 360-degree content.

Set in a custom, branded environment, the Dolby Atmos portal will feature Paul McCartney: Live and Let DieJack White: Ball & BiscuitJack White: Freedom at 21, Revolt: Big Sean, the Pure McCartney VR seriesBlack Mass, Rapid Fire: A Brief History of FlightEarth EncounterCollisions, the North Face seriesZombie PurgeTime BubbleOther SpaceVisions of California, and more.

“Over the past twelve months, we’ve been working closely with Dolby and leading filmmakers, musicians and brands to create a library of marquee titles leveraging the Dolby Atmos technology. We truly believe high quality immersive audio in VR is more than half the experience. The Jaunt VR app is available for free on iOS, Android, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive head-mounted displays (HMDs). Viewers can use any set of headphones but some good quality cans are always advised for the best experience.
