Otherworld Interactive’s Sisters To Get 3 Episode Follow Up

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles is well underway and though it’s the biggest event in the videogame calendar and features a line up of some of the biggest developers and publishers in the industry, it still has room for indie studios to show off their titles. These titles are found on the show floor at the IndieCade booth, and this year the booth is hosting 34 indie titles, 4 of which are virtual reality (VR) experiences.

One of the VR titles on show at IndieCade’s booth is Otherworld Interactive’s Sisters, an immersive 360-degree visual and audio horror experience available on Gear VR, iOS, and Android that takes place in a haunted house. The title is described as a VR ghost story, as players uncover what happened to the sisters who once lived in the house by looking around them to trigger events, a passive experience rather than an interactive one though much more frightening because of it.

A sequel to the title, to be called Sisters 2, was announced by Otherworld Interactive last year but today at E3, Otherworld Interactive’s CEO Andrew Goldstein told VRFocus that the studio is doing a 3 episode follow up to Sisters that will take place in the same house as the original title, just in different rooms. Whether this 3 episode title is in any way related to the planned Sisters 2 or whether it’s another completely separate experience wasn’t made clear but Goldstein said that the studio plans to release more details soon.

VRFocus will be following Otherworld Entertainment and Sister announcements closely as E3 continues and will report updates as they’re made.
