Merge VR Retail Rollout Heads to Target

The mobile virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) category has become a crowed place over the last couple of years. Aside from Samsungs dedicated headset Gear VR, the swath of generic devices which will fit a smartphone is staggering. Probably one of the best known is Merge VR which launched in the Autumn of 2015. The HMD has been available to purchase online and through retailers such as GAME. The company continues its retail expansion announcing today that Target stores in the US will now start stocking the device.

The VR HMD retails for $79 USD and not only will it be available at Target stores it can also be found at Target.com. The headset aims to be a comfortable so possible by employing an all round soft foam body rather than plastic, cardboard or similar solid materials.

The Merge VR HMD is compatible with a wide variety of Android and iOS smartphones. Features include adjustable lenses, duel input buttons, audio ports and a removable panel to access a smartphones camera.
