Fight Your Way Though Waves of Enemies in Mind Unleashed

While many customers are still waiting to receive their Oculus Rift and HTC Vive pre-orders, developers are building the library of videogames available through Steam for the head-mounted displays (HMDs). Launched today from developer Frost Earth is a sci-fi shooter called Mind Unleashed.

Players take control of a robot trying its best to survive in a secret underground military base. Mind Unleashed is built around blasting your way through 15 waves of increasing difficulty. Each wave will feature more robots and/or stronger robots with different weapons, aesthetics, speeds, damages, health and special abilities.

Depending on your gameplay style there’s 3 different classes to choose from: Engineer, Assault or Specialist, each with their own special abilities. There’s also three areas to unlock as you progress through the waves, offering the chance to change tactics to best suit.

While the HTC Vive is supported Frost Earth has stated in a post on Steam that support is still in beta phase. The develop said: “I just wanted to let you know that our HTC Vive support is still in beta. This doesn’t mean it don’t works as intended but means that you could need few more steps in order to have everything working properly.”
“Right now, if you have setup your PlayArea as a “Standing Area” you’ll just be fine. However if you have setup your PlayArea as “Room Scale” you should quickly reorient your seated position in Settings from within the headset.”
“This way you shouldn’t have issues at all, however please keep in mind we’ll release several updates to improve the HTC Vive supports and make it as user friendly as possible and this may already change in the next few days, so stay tuned!”

At the moment Mind Unleashed is currently on a limited time discount until 12th May 2016. Players can make use of a 15 percent discount to get the videogame for £1.69 GBP, rather than £1.99.

VRFocus will keep you updated on any further announcements from Frost Earth, as details are released.
