“At Felix & Paul Studios, we strive to deliver the highest quality entertainment through cinematic virtual reality experiences. The recognition of this groundbreaking experience by the Daytime Emmy Award is also the confirmation that this medium is now recognized across different entertainment industries. This award is also to be shared with our creative audio partner Headspace Studio who, once again, delivered their art and science of immersive sound design from production down to delivery,” said Stéphane Rituit, Co-founder and President of Felix & Paul Studios.

“At Cirque du Soleil, the most important factor of our business philosophy is the creative challenge a project may bring,” said Jacques Méthé, President of Cirque du Soleil Média. “We are honoured to have received this award, our creativity has definitely crossed over and beyond live entertainment and into interactive media. I would like to share this award with the incredible artists and technicians of KURIOS Cabinet of Curiosities that have adapted their talent for the technology and created a unique experience for the viewers and a very special thank you to Michel Laprise, the stage director of KURIOS who also gave his full creative input to make the experience touching.’’

Inside the Box of Kurios is available to view on the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD), for Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S7, S7 Edge.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Felix & Paul’s VR projects, reporting back any further updates.
