Immersive live-streaming company NextVR has made a name for itself by bringing sporting events, concerts, and political debates to consumers in virtual reality (VR). The company has partnered with FOX Sports for the US Open, boxing, and college basketball, NBC Sports for the Kentucky Derby and CNN for last years US Democratic debates to name a few. All that hard work has paid off as Sports Business Journal recently announced NextVR as the 2016 winner for Best in Sports Technology.
The annual Sports Business Awards ceremony took place in New York City, and NextVR joins previous Sports Business Award winners MLB Advanced Media and ESPN as pioneers in technological achievement for sports fans.

2016 looks to continue NextVR’s rapid growth and expansion as the company has now partnered with Live Nation to broadcast hundreds of live, cutting-edge performances in VR to music fans worldwide. The streaming company will also distribute content for Time Inc’s. LIFE VR brand.
