New titles for the HTC Vive virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) continue to flood in. Today sees the Early Access launch of Sweet Escape VR, a new platform-based experience of sorts from Monster VR that makes use of the kit’s Room-Scale user-tracking and its position-tracked controllers. The piece is available for a heavily discounted for a heavily discounted price during its launch week, too.
Sweet Escape VR is a climbing-based experience that requires a VR HMD in order to be played. Using the HTC Vive’s tracked controllers, players climb through a candy-themed environment, grabbing hold of gumdrops and jumping between bars. The experience is also a multiplayer one, as other friends help to escape alongside you.
Monster VR is planned to remain in Early Access for six months while development on the project continues. This week it’s available for £8.99 GBP, though the usual price of £14.99 will be introduced on 27th April. There’s no word yet on if the title could come to the Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR in the future.
