Late last month VRFocus reported on the launch of a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for a new mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) by the name of C PURE. The kit resembles an updated on the popular Google Cardboard concept, with a handful of improvements. Creator VR Oxygen was looking for $5,000 USD in order to bring the device, which runs using a smartphone, to market. A month on and today C PURE ends its Kickstarter campaign with the funding required to do just that.
C PURE has raised $5,430 USD with the help of over 30 backers. That should mean that supporters that back $19 or more will be getting their kits in May 2016. Two backers that pledged $1,000 will also be getting 50 units for use within schools. C PURE boats a white glossy finish and a cushioned nose piece for comfortable use. It supports both iOS and Android smartphones.
