Virtuali-Tee Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Virtual reality (VR) can become a great teaching and learning tool by mixing entertainment and education. That’s why Curiscope a new UK-based startup is launching a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign today to bring its Virtuali-Tee concept to life.
Virtuali-Tee is a combination of two elements, a specially printed t-shirt and a smartphone app. With someone wearing the t-shirt you open up the Curiscope app on your smart device and point the camera at them. The top then turns into an anatomical learning experience that allows the viewer to look in and around the human body in 3D.
From bones to organs like the heart, then diving into the circulatory system the Virtuali-Tee mixes learning with augmented reality (AR). Then combine a smartphone with a VR headset like Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear VR for an even more immersive experience.
Curiscope is looking to raise £70,000 GBP from the funding campaign, with a mixture of reward tiers available for backers. Tiers start from £18 GBP which includes a Virtuali-Tee for the first early bird backers. While the £40 GBP tier includes a Virtuali-Tee and Google Cardboard headset.
VRFocus will follow the progress of Curiscopes Virtuali-Tee Kickstarter, reporting back with the latest updates.
