The Oculus Rift is making it’s way to consumers worldwide, with the very first units arriving with early adopters today. As a surprise treat for those receiving the head-mounted display (HMD), Oculus VR’s own internal studio has kept one title away from the prying eyes of the media: Farlands.
Farlands is a unique experience in which new content will arrive daily. Similar in intent to Nintendo’s beloved Animal Crossing franchise, Farlands endows players with new species, plantlife and more each day. Cast as an explorer on an alien planet, it’s up to the player to discover and document the flora and fauna of the planet, as well as ensure that their needs are satisfied.
Available to download from the Oculus Store now, Farlands is free to all early adopters of the Oculus Rift. VRFocus has spent some time getting hands-on with Farlands and will bring you a review later today.
