iOmoon Website Now Lists HTC Vive Support

It’s been a while since indie developer Headtrip Games released new information regarding its virtual reality (VR) compatible title, iOmoon. The videogame has always supported the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), but now the studios website also includes the HTC Vive logo as well.

Its unclear how long Headtrip Games has supported the HTC Vive headset but it means those consumers who’ve pre-ordered a unit will be able to play the first-person exploration videogame. The site lists the release of iOmoon on Oculus Rift as spring but doesn’t make any mention for the HTC Vive and its planned availability as yet.

iOmoon is set in a sci-fi future where life has been found on Europa, one of Jupiter’s moons. Cast in the role of a exobiologist you’re sent to another moon, iO to search for signs of life. Starting on an orbiting space station you must pilot an exploration probe into the heart of the moon to discover its secrets. The probe crashes and now you must head across its surface and through a maze of caves, all while conserving a dwindling oxygen supply, to find a way off.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of iOmoon, reporting back any further updates.
