CCP Games’ EVE: Valkyrie has been one of the standout virtual reality (VR) videogames since its unveiling. It’s widely lauded as a premium example of the immersive technology, featuring at numerous events. The title has already been confirmed for the Oculus Rift launch this month, but this week at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016 it’s now been confirmed as a PlayStation VR launch title too.
Its been known for some time that EVE: Valkyrie will support Sony Computer Entertainment’s (SCE’s) PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD). But with the company’s announcement that the headset will launch in October 2016, its been revealed in a Twitter posting by the studio that the title will be available for the devices launch.
Earlier this month CCP Games brought to a close its Alpha testing phase with a group of people that owned the Oculus Rift DK2 headset. It concluded several weeks of testing prior to its first launch on 28th March 2016.
EVE: Valkyrie lets players climb in to iconic ships from the EVE Online universe and take part in intense multiplayer battles in VR. VRFocus will continue its coverage of EVE: Valkyrie, reporting back any further announcements.
