Avenue Planet a Miami, Florida-based virtual reality (VR) startup thats building experiences to allow users to walk along the most famous streets in the world -Lincoln Road in Miami, Fifth Avenue in New York, Oxford Street in London for example, has announced an expansion for the content it’ll be launching.
Alongside being able to walk down these internationally renowned roads, Avenue Planets VR experience will also allow users to access stores, cinemas and concert halls. Brands that signup with the company will be able to sell their products and produce exclusive experiences for the users and buyers. The project aims to grow to be a the forefront of first-person immersive virtual shopping experiences.
In total 12 streets are planned for inclusion by the end of 2016, with the areas previously mentioned as well as Champs Elysées in Paris and Ginza in Tokyo, added during Q2 2016.
Avenue Planet was founded three years ago by Bruno Carvalho (President) and Sanjay Dasani (CEO). Since then the company, seen as a strategic player for Miami’s tech hub, has recently been honoured with the keys to the county by Miami-Dade county Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez.
