RYOT and Littlstar Release March 4 Earth Video Featuring Pope Francis

360-degree content provider Littlstar, and cinematic virtual reality (VR) production studio RYOT have announced the release of a new immersive video the two have collaborated on. March 4 Earth is a 360-degree experience which highlights how the Pope gathered thousands of people together in Rome, Italy to encourage leaders to act on climate change.

Last year on 8th November, Connect4Climate, Earth Day Italy, Earth Day Network organised the first People’s March for the Earth in the Italian capital, Rome. The event was timed to coincide with the Vicariate of Rome’s “Day for the Custody of Creation”, and showcased the undivided support of Pope Francis’ messages of peace and environmental concern.

March 4 Earth

March 4 Earth begins with stationary 360-degree videos around Rome, featuring some of its most famous landmarks including the Coliseum. While the film flicks between the different areas Greta Scacchi provides a narration. It then moves on to a brief clip of a speech given by Pope Francis.

To view March 4 Earth, you go directly to Littlstar’s website to watch on a standard screen, controlling the image with a mouse or WASD keys. If you wish to view the film in virtual reality (VR) you’ll need to download the Littlstar app for your Android or iOS device, then use a VR headset like Google Cardboard. The Littlstar app is also available to download free for the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD).
