Experience D-Day on Oculus Rift with Unimersiv

Virtual reality (VR) can be an educator as well as an entertainer. Unimersiv an educational platform that specialises in VR content has a broad range of content available all designed for the various head-mounted displays (HMDs) currently on the market. Its latest educational experience comes from developer Virtual Light in the form of Airborne VR 1944.

In Airborne VR 1944 viewers: “Move to the south coast of England an early morning June 6th, 1944. You are paratrooper Jackson, who along with 20 comrades are on the way to a mission that will change the world,” reads the official description. “Experience a moment in life of private Jackson as he prepares to head into war with his fellow paratroopers during D-day 1944.”

Virtual Light is a Swedish studio that creates immersive VR experiences that take you back in time to different historical moments and architectural visualizations.

You can get Unimersiv apps for the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR and Google Cardboard. Airborne VR 1944 supports the Oculus Rift DK2 headset and is free to download from the platforms site.
