Taking place next month is the 4th VFX Festival at London’s O2 Arena, consisting of a number of film screenings, panel discussions and keynote lectures from talent across the British film industry. The event will also see virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) take centre stage by day one hosts The Mill.
The Mill an award-winning VFX production studio based in London, UK will be presenting VR and AR while discussing the Google ATAP Project, with creative agency Hamilton & Kidd providing a supporting feature presentation on VR and 360-degree technologies.
Dom Davenport, founder of Escape Studios said in a statement: “I am thrilled to announce that the VFX Festival will be returning for its 4th year in 2016, and for the first time ever incorporating animation and games into the event which is really exciting for us. We’ve also got a really strong line-up this year with the likes of MPC, The Mill, Hamilton & Kid, Aardman and Climax Studios all attending to give feature presentations, with more to come.”
Developed by Escape Studios, part of Pearson College London, in 2013, The VFX Festival will run from Tuesday 23rd – Thursday 25th February 2016, at London’s iconic O2. Tickets and further details can be found at www.thevfxfestival.com.
