It’s almost time for the 2015 edition of the PlayStation Experience, Sony Computer Entertainment’s highly anticipated fan event in San Francisco, California. Set to take place on 5th – 6th December, the show will allow attendees to go hands-on with brand new PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita titles as well as attend panels and more. SCE will also be hosting a keynote conference to open the event at 10:00 PST tomorrow. This week, the company has suggested that it could be revealing brand new titles for PlayStation VR at the event.
SCE hinted as much in a recent PlayStation Blog update. Listing the the line-up of PlayStation VR titles to be announced at the show, the company wrote: “And here’s a bonus: we can now confirm the full list of (currently announced) PlayStation VR titles that you’ll experience this weekend in San Francisco.” It is of course the ‘currently announced’ part of this message that suggests the company has some unannounced titles to reveal for the virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), which was to be expected but hadn’t yet been confirmed. It appears that whatever is announced will also be playable.
PlayStation VR’s last showing was at Paris Games Week 2015 in October, where it was revealed that titles such as Tekken 7, Gran Turismo Sport and more would be coming to the device. Some titles that made their debut there such as Until Dawn: Rush of Blood and a VR prototype of DriveClub will be playable at PlayStation Experience along with long known videogames like EVE: Valkyrie and Wayward Sky. PlayStation VR itself is due to launch in the first half of 2016, though a specific release date and price are yet to be announced.
VRFocus is at PlayStation Experience itself to check out all of the latest PlayStation VR content and deliver hands-on impressions, interviews and more.
