Finnish indie developer Lucky You Studios launched a Steam Greenlight campaign back in July for its virtual reality (VR) supporting title Kumoon: Ballistic Physics Puzzle. The title was quickly successful, being greenlit in only 10 days. Now the videogame, which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), will be launched tomorrow.
Kumoon, which is Finnish for ‘fall over’, casts players as a robot that travels from test to test, knocking over crates as they go. This is done by firing bullets that ricochet off of surfaces. Bouncing the bullet with increase a multiplayer for the score that each toppled crate is worth. In VR, the title is played in first person and players can use head-tracking to aim their shots.
The videogame features 3 tutorial levels to start players off. There are then 45 levels split between three difficulty settings. 15 easy levels, to get you acquainted, 15 medium levels, for those comfortable with the controls looking for a challenge, and 15 hard levels for the truly skilled.
The studio hasn’t released a price for the title yet, but a demo for Kumoon: Ballistic Physics Puzzle can also be played in-browser or downloaded from the likes of IndieDB. The demo features 5 playable levels.
VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest details from Lucky You Studios as further announcements are made.
