Official Gear VR pages are now up for Australia, New Zealand, Sweden and Samsung’s own country, South Korea. Australia’s listing simply notes that the device is ‘coming soon’ with no information on pricing, while the New Zealand site only shows physical stores that fans can head to to pick up a kit. Neither the Swedish nor South Korean sites seem to have any more information about possible release dates and pricing for their respective countries. A UK listing for the device is still yet to be seen at this point in time though it’s expected to cost £79.99 GBP.

In the US the Gear VR costs $99 USD. The device is compatible with Samsung’s range of 2015 smartphones. This includes its flagship model, the Galaxy S6, and its curved spin-off, the Galaxy S6 edge. It’s also integrated with the company’s larger handsets in the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge plus. Last year’s Galaxy Note 4, which supported the first Innovator Edition of the Gear VR released all the way back in December 2014, is not supported. It also remains to be seen if the company’s 2016 range will be integrated.

VRFocus will continue to follow the Gear VR closely, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
