Next week sees the Games Funding Forum 2015 get underway in London, UK. The event kicks off on 15th October and will see members of the industry gather to talk about raising the money to work on dream projects, dealing with investors and publishers and more. It should be no surprise by now that virtual reality (VR) will play some small role in the event, with Tammeka Games taking its sci-fi racing experience, Radial-G, and Atom Republic talking about the funding of its own VR title, Atom Universe.
Radial-G itself, which is already available in Steam Early Access, will be a part of the Gaming Lounge, an area that showcases several unpublished upcoming titles. Attendees will be able to try the title on the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
Meanwhile Atom Republic’s Tanguy Dewavrin will be hosting a talk titled ‘Diary of a Successful Kickstarter’ in which he will talk about Atom Universe‘s successful crowd-funding attempt that saw it raise from £25,000 GBP. The title aims to bring a virtual theme park to life as a free-to-play platform with support for the Oculus Rift on PC and PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4.
Outside of these 2 appearances, Mercia Technologies will also host a ‘Soup to Nuts’ funding model talk that will include a case study from The Assembly studio, nDreams.
VRFocus will continue to follow both of these VR projects and all others, reporting back with the latest on them.
