Virtual reality (VR) fans have seen countless technical demonstrations and short slices of playable experiences over the years, but the technology is now getting to the point where it can deliver full videogames. Creating consumer-level VR content is no easy task, however, and UK-based developer nDreams knows this well. The team already has 2 released VR titles under its belt in Gunner and Perfect Beach for the Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD), and is busy preparing The Assembly for the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR. Recently the company spoke about this experience.
Below is nDreams developer session from EGX 2015, which was the first show that the company has ever publically displayed The Assembly, a first-person adventure title. It features the company’s Patrick O’Luanaigh and Jackie Tetley on-stage giving a brief overview of some of the golden rules of VR development.
VRFocus will continue to follow nDreams work in VR, reporting back with the latest updates from the company.
