Microsoft’s Project X-Ray Gets First Images

Microsoft was ready to reveal a brand new videogame experience for its HoloLens mixed reality (MR) head-mounted display (HMD) at its Windows 10 event today. The company introduced a new sci-fi shooter by the name of Project X-Ray, in which a player battled waves of flying robots that virtually emerged from a real wall. Below are the first images for this experience, as they were shown to audiences on-stage today.

A total of 9 images are below, showcasing the title’s shooter gameplay in which the player holds a controller that then emits a hologram that folds around their arm. The player’s hand is effectively the gun itself, then, and they use it to aim at enemies and blast them away, changing modes with voice activation.

VRFocus will continue to follow HoloLens and Project X-Ray, reporting back with the latest on both.
