Today Epic Games has released The Making of Bullet Train video. A behind-the-scenes look at the studio’s ambitious virtual reality (VR) demo, that was revealed at the recent Oculus Connect 2 (OC2) event. The title will support not only the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) but also the Oculus Touch motion controllers.
The video features commentary from Epic’s Ray Davis and Nick Donaldson, providing a glimpse into the development and testing Bullet Train underwent prior to its unveiling at OC2 in Hollywood, California in September. Bullet Train which was created using the developers Unreal Engine 4, is a science-fiction themed first-person shooter (FPS) experience in which the player has to take on an overwhelming number of foes situated at a train station. Pistols, shotguns, assault rifles and grenades will help the player thin the enemy numbers, but the videogame’s teleportation mechanic will help you out of any tight spots in a hurry.
Also featured on the behind-the-scenes video is Epic’s CEO Tim Sweeney and Co-founder Mark Rein playing the demo for the first time.
No release details have been announced for the title, or if it will be appearing at any other events in the near future, but VRFocus will continue to report on any announcements by Epic Games for Bullet Train.
