Silicon Valley Virtual Reality (SVVR), organisers of the annual SVVR Conference & Expo, and roadtovr.com have announced a partnership for an event taking place next month: VR Launchpad. Set to be held in Silicon Valley, California, VR Launchpad is intended to become a meeting point for virtual reality (VR) startups and experienced persons involved in the industry.
VR Launchpad is set to offer 3 distinct tracks: VR Startups & Entrepreneurs, Investors & Partners and Growing VR Companies & Media. The former will offer startup companies the opportunity to pitch their work to investors directly, receiving feedback from a panel of experts. The ‘Investors & Partners’ track will invite newcomers to witness experienced companies perform their pitches as well as preview their wares on a demo floor.
The final track, ‘Growing VR Companies & Media’, invites VR companies to demonstrate their products in front media, investors and VR experts. Attendees will be encouraged to demonstrate their VR solutions in not just the short term, but also to ‘show the world how you’ll leave your mark on VR for years to come’, according to VR Launchpad organisers.
VR Launchpad will take place at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, on 20th October 2015. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on this collaborative effort between SVVR and roadtovr.com.
