Developer No Ghost has confirmed today the release of Super Turbo Atomic Ninja Rabbit Experience. The short virtual reality (VR) experience was unveiled at a special event in London towards the end of August, and will support the Oculus Rift DK2 head-mounted display (HMD).
Available now to download from developer No Ghost, Super Turbo Atomic Ninja Rabbit Experience was created in collaboration with animation studio The Line. The animation is based around that late 80s/90s feel, looking at capturing classic shows like Thundercats, Samurai Pizza Cats and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
The original idea came from The Line’s Wesley Louis, who created it as a kid back in the 90s, then brought the idea back to life. The studio collaborated with No Ghost, creating the developers first VR experience. As the title suggests the main protagonist is an armoured ninja rabbit, who was frozen in time by an evil force. Along with some animal buddies, Stan (the rabbit) must battle his enemy for all the usual cartoon reasons.
The VR experience will support the Oculus software development kit (SDK) runtime 0.6 +, and VRFocus will continue to follow No Ghost’s further endeavours into VR.
