As the days tick down to the UK’s largest videogame event, EGX 2015 (previously known as Eurogamer Expo) further details are being released of what to expect there. Confirmed today is the news that the Project Morpheus virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for the PlayStation 4 will be available at the event.
Reported by Eurogamer.net, the Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) PlayStation stand will a large selection of playable titles for visitors to try. While the Project Morpheus has been confirmed as playable, there isn’t any mention of which titles will be available. Previous event outings like E3 and Gamescom have seen titles like, RIGS: Mechanised Combat League and London Heist on show, but what will be present at EGX hasn’t been revealed.
For those keen on trying out the HMD its worth noting that there is a sign up process to book visitors in over the 4 day event. With spaces likely to be snapped up fast, there will be a dedicated website to add your name to the list.
Also attending the event to celebrate PlayStation’s 20th Anniversary will be Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios. On Saturday 26th September at 1pm he will be interviewed onstage by Eurogamer editor Oli Welsh.
