Revealed on Wednesday was the news that the 2015 Tokyo Games Show (TGS) would see a 360 degree virtual reality (VR) teaser trailer for Ghost in the Shell. Animation studio Production I.G held a special screening on the first day of TGS and now the first screenshots have been revealed.
Reported by Anime News Network, the screenshots for Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie Virtual Reality Diver, were taken from a 2D screening so that the press could take pictures of the title. The 360 degree video is available on Production I.G’s stand using the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
There will be a 3 minute video available via an app on Google Play and the App Store, followed by a longer 10-minute video in winter 2015. The full version will be priced at ¥480 yen (approximately $4 USD).
