UK-based indie developer Viewpoint Games announced this week that its virtual reality title VR Karts, which supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), will be coming to EGX this month. The playable demo will be the very latest version of the videogame featuring upgraded graphics.
The developer last released an update for VR Karts back in July on Steam, with improvements to the AI, Amateur Cup difficulty, graphics and customisation. Whether other updates have been added since then maybe revealed at EGX. The demo for the show will be on the Oculus Rift, but Viewpoint Games have also released a Samsung Gear VR compatible version called VR Karts: Sprint for those with access to the HMD.
Viewpoint Games will be showcasing the videogame in the Rezzed area of the event which features new up and coming indie titles from a range of developers. Other VR titles will also be there including, Crystal Rift from Psytec Games and Coatsink Games’ Esper.
EGX 2015 takes place 24th – 27th September 2015, at Birmingham NEC, with most tickets already sold out. VRFocus shall be attending the show and will keep you updated with all the latest VR news from the event.
