Oculus VR’s annual developer event, Oculus Connect, Hollywood, began today in earnest. A number of speaker sessions and demo opportunities from various independent developers and third-party studios have been made available to all attendees, but it’s Oculus VR’s own reveals that everyone is waiting for. The announcements set to be made tomorrow include new content, it has been revealed today, and attendees looking to get hands-on can book appointments to see what Oculus VR has to show.
Oculus VR had previously confirmed that Gear VR, Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch demos would be available at Oculus Connect this week – all of which have been available today – but there is set to be a number of additions to the line-up. Oculus VR has not yet revealed what these additions will be, but has offered details on how to gain access.
An update to the Oculus Connect 2 app offers the following message: “Demo appointments for new content will be available at 8am tomorrow! Content is TBA.”
It’s likely that some of this content will come from developers who have previously been confirmed to be developing for the Oculus Rift but not yet having revealed their work. 4A Games, Signal Studios and Ready at Dawn, for example, were announced as development partners at Oculus VR’s ‘Step into the Rift’ press conference, San Francisco, earlier this year but have not yet revealed their respective videogame titles. VRFocus is currently at Oculus Connect and will keep you updated with all the latest announcements from the show.
