Oculus Home the portal that allows Oculus Rift and Gear VR users to purchase software directly from the company rather than platforms like Steam or WEARVR, has received a re-vamp. After last weeks Gear VR rich announcements at its Oculus Connect 2 conference in Los Angeles, California, the company seems to be improving the store prior to the launch of the consumer Gear VR and Oculus Rift next year.
While the new Oculus Home has been cleaned up, with top seller and staff picks, it will also be getting a new feature called concepts. Revealed on Reddit by BaconVR, the developer said: “The new Store Layout is something we’re all really excited about, and something we’ve been working on for a long time. Hopefully this will make it easier to find more of the great content that developers are creating. We have a few more updates to the Store coming up, one of which is Concepts. It’ll be here Soon(tm).”
While the image (shown here) is of the 2D Gear VR version there has been indication of the 3D store version inside the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
