With just a week to go until Oculus Connect 2, Oculus VR’s annual event in Hollywood, the full line-up of playable titles has been revealed. Oculus VR will be bringing the full stretch of the currently announced Oculus Rift consumer launch titles, including Insomniac Games’ Edge of Nowhere and Gunfire Games’ Chronos, as well as Oculus Touch.
In addition to the 2 titles mentioned above, Carbon Games’ AirMech VR, Sanzaru’s VR Sports Challenge, Playful Corp.’s Lucky’s Tale, Coatsink’s Esper, High Voltage Software’s Damaged Core and CCP Games’ EVE: Valkyrie will all be playable on the consumer version of the Oculus Rift. Gunfire Games’ other Oculus Rift title, Herobound: Spirit Champions, also features in the line-up along with Oculus Story Studios’ Henry.
Oculus Touch, Oculus VR’s own motion-control input device, will feature at Oculus Connect 2, however this appears to be in a limited capacity. The official Oculus Connect 2 application, now available for iOS and Android devices, states that Oculus Touch and it’s partner software, Toybox, will only be available on Wednesday, 23rd September 2015. No option to schedule appointments for this demonstration has yet been revealed.
Notably absent from the line-up at this time is the Oculus VR and Samsung collaboration, Gear VR. Whether this is to be added at a later date or being held back as a surprise for the even is not currently known. However, given that the ‘full consumer’ launch of the device is expected soon it would be surprising if Gear VR did not feature at the event. A ‘Samsung Gear VR Cafe’ is listed, but no titles have been confirmed for this area.
Oculus Connect 2 takes place in Hollywood, 23rd – 25th September 2015. VRFocus will be attending the event and will keep you updated with all the latest details from the show floor.
