The long slow march to Halloween is underway and a number of appropriately spooky items have begun to haunt the Oculus VR Share digital content platform. The first of these up for discussion is The Seance, a virtual reality (VR) experience for the Oculus Rift DK2 head-mounted display (HMD) and created by Spectral Illusions, the studio behind popular fear facing app Cyberphobia.
The Seance sees you take part in the incantation in an apparently normal looking mansion, only for it to not just bring back one spirit but a very large number. An on-rails experience, The Seance takes you from a comfy sitting room to being harassed by skeletons and demonic beings in a blink of an eye as the very house itself turns on you and vents a history of gruesome goings on back at you.
An impressive looking experience with many similarities to Cyberphobia in style if you’re a fan of horror or have any friends yet to experience VR who are horror fans this demo looks like the perfect introduction to the modern era of the medium.

VRFocus will be back tomorrow with another entertaining experience on Oculus VR Share.
