Earlier this week it was announced that indie developer Space Budgie had restarted its virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, Glitchspace, from scratch. As a result the studio released a brand new version of the title in its Early Access phase, named Alpha 2.0. Plenty of new features are included in this new version of the title, such as a complete visual overhaul. Those updates can now be seen in a fresh batch of screenshots on display below.
A total of 12 images can be seen, many of which highlight Glitchspace‘s new, much more complex environments. The developer made the decision to restart the project in order to bring Glitchspace in line with its original expectations. Support for both the Oculus Rift’s first and second developments kits (DK1 and DK2) is still included and, presumably, integration with the consumer version of the device will be arriving once it has been released in the first quarter of 2016. Support for the HTC Vive HMD is yet to be confirmed.
Glitchspace is available in a pre-release state for £9.99 GBP. VRFocus will continue to follow the title closely, reporting back with the latest updates on it.
