It’s been a busy week for the team at cinematic virtual reality (VR) company, Jaunt. Yesterday the company announced a partnership with ABC News to release Inside Syria VR, a new 360 degree film that follows archaeologist’s struggle to preserve antiques within Syria against the threat of war. Today, Jaunt is revealing an entirely new type of partnership with Carrot Creative, a Brooklyn-based digital agency, that will see the pair work on new VR advertising content.
The partnership has resulted in a new VR department over at Carrot Creative called Carrot Vision. This new team is utilising Jaunt’s Neo camera and proprietary end-to-end solution in creating its own VR content. The group is currently working on an experience for Shinola, a Detroid-based manufacturer of watches, bicycles and leather goods and one of Carrot Creative’s clients.
“Carrot really impressed us with their creative vision for how VR will have a significant impact on the advertising and branding worlds, as well as their successful track record helping to grow new platforms,” said Jens Christensen, co-founder and CEO of Jaunt. “To date we’ve had great success working with premium brands like The North Face, Bud Light and Rebecca Minkoff, and with this new relationship we look forward to many new opportunities to work with the largest and most innovative brands in the world, bringing premium VR content to global audiences.”
VRFocus will continue to follow the latest from Jaunt and all other VR companies, reporting back with the latest updates on them.
