If you read VRFocus regularly then you’ll notice the popularity of independent one day events that bring local virtual reality (VR) companies together with enthusiasts to talk and demonstrate the technology. Now the Glasgow School of Art Digital Design Studio is holding a similar exhibition later this month.
As part of the Glasgow School of Art Graduate Degree Show, The Digital Design Studio is hosting a 3D Sound and Augmented Reality Showcase. An exhibition of innovative installations created in the Sound Laboratory and the 3D Visualisation Laboratory. This one-off exhibition will feature new work from students on the MDes in Sound for the Moving Image and MSc in Serious Games and Virtual Reality courses. Facilities at The Digital Design Studio include one of Europe’s largest laboratory spaces for VR, immersive stereo visualization and high resolution displays.
The exhibition will take place at The Hub, Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51 1EA, on Wednesday 16th September 2015, running from 6.30pm – 9.30pm GMT. The event is free, but those wishing to attend will need to register at Glasgow School of Art Digital Design Studios, Eventbrite page.
