Gang Beasts Coming to Oculus Rift with Coatsink Software’s Help

Plenty of virtual reality (VR) videogames are expected to be detailed at Oculus VR’s own developer conference, Oculus Connect 2, this week. Indeed, the company has already showcased a brand new sizzle reel during its keynote speech at the Loews Hotel in Hollywood, California. Lots of Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) compatible experiences were featured in the clip, many of which have been revealed in the past. One title that made a surprising debut, however, is Gang Beasts from Boneloaf Games.

Gang Beasts has already made its name for itself within the videogame industry as a manic multiplayer brawler. Up to 4 players control colourful avatars that beat each other up in brutal street brawls. The VR version of the title is actually being developed with the help of none other than Coatsink Software, the UK-based studio that’s also working on Esper 2, a sequel to its first VR videogame for the Gear VR mobile head-mounted display.

VRFocus will continue to follow Gang Beasts closely, reporting back with the latest updates on the title.
