The psychological horror title Albino Lullaby was released on PC on Tuesday 15th, with full support for the Oculus Rift’s second development kit (DK2) virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD). For those that may have missed what all the fuss is about, VRFocus brings you the launch trailer to enjoy.
Created by indie developer Ape Law, Albino Lullaby is a surreal first-person horror title that aims to unnerve players through random unpredictable events rather than going for gory violence, similar to other titles. Simple actions such as pressing a button can have a huge effect on the environment that players are standing in. The title’s story sees players awaken in a strange facility, exploring it in an attempt to try and piece together how they have arrived there.
The videogame will be episodic, with three episodes in total. Players can purchase each episode as its released, or they can purchase the pack bundle that includes all the episodes and the full soundtrack. Albino Lullaby: Episode 2 is due for release on 15th March 2016 with Albino Lullaby: Episode 3 scheduled for 15th September 2016, as listed on Steam. The second and third episodes will require episode one to work.
While the Oculus Rift is the only HMD currently supported, developer Ape Law has said that the HTC Vive and PlayStation VR HMD’s will get support at some point in the future.VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest details on Albino Lullaby as Ape Law announces them.
