Newly revealed on the Oculus Connect app for the Oculus Connect 2 event being held this week in Hollywood, California, is Evil Robot Traffic Jam. The title by indie developer Element Games is a tower defence videogame that will be available for the Samsung Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD).
In Evil Robot Traffic Jam, evil robots are creating traffic jams across the world and it’s your job to stop them. The traffic must be contained. As a member of the E.R.D.F. (Evil Robot Defence Force), you must place defences in your cities. Weapons such as explosive missile towers, hazardous frost towers, and deadly rail guns are at your disposal. You can engage the help of Mass Transit to take out the opposition. And if all else fails, command your orbiting battlecruisers to fire.
This is the first videogame by Element Games and a demo version is now available to download for the Gear VR HMD. The studio was founded in 2014 by Marcin Szymanski, a game industry veteran who has held key roles on multiple videogame projects, including Echo Prime, the Orcs Must Die series, the Age of Empires series, Halo Wars, and Lucky’s Tale.
VRFocus will continue reporting on all the latest news and announcements from the Oculus Connect 2 event as it’s released.
