The announcement that Koei Tecmo has been developing a Dynasty Warriors videogame for PlayStation VR (formerly Project Morpheus) came as quite a shock this morning. VRFocus has endeavoured to find out more details on the title, discovering that the videogame will in fact be a first-person experience.
An adaptation of Dynasty Warriors 8, known as Shin Sangokumusou 7 in Japan, the Dynasty Warriors 8 VR Demo will be playable at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan’s (SCEJ) booth during this week’s Tokyo Game Show (TGS). Little else was known aside from this, until 2 official screenshots were revealed. In the images below we can clearly see the command ‘press touch pad button’, suggesting that the Dynasty Warriors 8 VR Demo will make use of the DualShock 4 controller opposed to PlayStation Move. The second image clearly depicts two hands clutching the hilt of a sword, defending against multiple enemies of the Kingdom of Jin clan.
No further details are currently available, though VRFocus has contacted Koei Tecmo for more information. Stay right here for all the latest details on the Dynasty Warriors 8 VR Demo as they become available.
