Gunfire Games’ Chronos was revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), Los Angeles, earlier this year with a playable build on the consumer version of the Oculus Rift. The demonstration version of the videogame featured a single playable character, however Gunfire Games has since revealed that the final release version of the videogame won’t be quite so limited.
The official story details, reported by VRFocus earlier this week, were vague in their description of gender for the hero of Chronos. VRFocus has now learned that this is because the final version of Chronos will not offer only the male hero seen in the preview build (and all visual assets revealed thus far) but also a female player character option, too. As described by Gunfire Games:
“Playing as either male or female, player’s must adapt to their advancing age as they progress their character; start the game young, nimble and quick, and end wise and more attuned to magic.”
There’s currently no word on whether Chronos will feature character customisation or simply two different playable characters, but of course VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on Chronos as more is revealed.
