Studio Wildcard has revealed a brand new creature coming to ARK: Survival Evolved. Players can now get their hands on the domesticated but aggressive arthropod, Arthropluera.
Looking like a large version of a centipede, Arthropluera is a very aggressive hunter that prefers to eat meat that has rotted for a while rather than eating a fresh kill. The creatures defences consist of very low pH blood, meaning its very acidic. This acidic can damage enemies melee weapons and also the attackers themselves. Alongside this Arthropluera keeps a small amount of blood in a reservoir that it can then spit at its prey.
Even with this aggressive nature, Arthropluera is a simple minded creature and so easy to tame. With its attributes Arthropluera is ideal as a military mount, able to attack at range, and safe from all but the largest animals.
Studio Wildcard developed ARK: Survival Evolved, in conjunction with Instinct Games. The title is due to launch in June 2016 on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program, PlayStation 4 with PlayStation VR support, and full release on Steam. The game is currently in Steam’s Early Access program and includes Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) support as standard.
