Psychological horror title Albino Lullaby has been released on PC today with full support for the second development kit (DK2) for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD).
VRFocus wrote yesterday that the US pricing had been revealed along with the season pass. With Albino Lullaby’s release today the UK’s pricing details are now clearer. Being released in episodes, Albino Lullaby: Episode 1 is £6.99 GBP with all subsequent episodes £6.99 GBP. The season pass will include all three episodes as well as the official videogame soundtrack for £17.32 GBP, saving gamers some cash in the process.
The videogame is described by the developer as a surreal first-person horror title that focuses on unnerving its players through unpredictable events instead of relying on high levels of violence and gore. Simple actions such as pressing a button can have a huge effect on the environment that players are standing in. The title’s story will sees players awaken in a strange facility, exploring it in an attempt to try and piece together how they have arrived there.
Albino Lullaby: Episode 2 is due for release on 15th March 2016 with Albino Lullaby: Episode 3 scheduled for 15th September 2016, as listed on Steam. The second and third episodes will require episode one to work.
Ape Law has built Albino Lullaby from the ground up for VR and has said both the HTC Vive and Project Morpheus HMD’s will be supported at some point in the future. VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest details on Albino Lullaby as Ape Law announces them.
