Virtual reality (VR) horror title Albino Lullaby is being released on PC tomorrow with full support for the second development kit (DK2) for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Today developer Ape Law has revealed the pricing for the title as well as season pass details for the episodic videogame.
Albino Lullaby: Episode 1 will be available for $9.99 USD or as part of the Season One Pass for $24.99 USD and they can both be purchased on Steam on 15th September.
The videogame is described by the developer as a surreal first-person horror title that focuses on unnerving its players through unpredictable events instead of relying on high levels of violence and gore. Simple actions such as pressing a button can have a huge effect on the environment that players are standing in. The title’s story will sees players awaken in a strange facility, exploring it in an attempt to try and piece together how they have arrived there.
“We are hitting the reset switch on the genre and bringing horror games back to the days of film when suspense ruled and great masters like David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock used our minds to scare us more than anything onscreen,” said Justin Pappas, creative director of Albino Lullaby and founder of Ape Law in a statement.
Albino Lullaby has been built from the ground up for VR and Ape Law have said both the HTC Vive and Project Morpheus HMD’s will be supported. VRFocus will continue to bring you all the latest details on Albino Lullaby as Ape Law announces them.
