White Lotus Interactive have confirmed that their ambitious virtual reality (VR) adventure videogame, XING: The Land Beyond will be returning to PAX Prime, Seattle, later this week. The California based team are regulars at US based events – both industry only and public – and will be offering the chance to experience XING: The Land Beyond to all attendees at PAX Prime, 28th – 31st August 2015.
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign back in 2013, XING: The Land Beyond has become a fairly high profile videogame project championing the forthcoming rebirth of VR. The small team working on the videogame are committed to ensuring the best possible VR experience in XING: The Land Beyond, though a standard monitor based version will also be made available.
Both the VR and traditional monitor versions of XING: The Land Beyond will be playable at PAX Prime later this week as part of the Indie Megabooth. Furthermore, White Lotus Interactive have stated in an update to their Kickstarter page that they will offer giveaways and a raffle to all who choose to play XING: The Land Beyond at the show.
VRFocus has previously been hands-on on with White Lotus Interactive’s debut title, stating in a preview of XING: The Land Beyond that; “it’s a videogame that has so much potential in it’s own right, but when played in virtual reality (VR) those environments that are bursting with life will become so much more than polygonal drawings.”
PAX Prime takes place from 28th – 31st August 2015, at the Seattle Convention Center. VRFocus will be attending the event and will keep you updated with all the latest VR news directly from the show floor.
