This week for the Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, developer SCS Software, the studio behind virtual reality (VR) compatible title Euro Truck Simulator 2 has launched a new trailer for upcoming title American Truck Simulator.
American Truck Simulator allows gamers to experience the legendary American trucks whilst delivering various cargoes across the United States. The videogame takes players on a journey through America’s vast landscape and widely recognised landmarks from across the country, as they go from a driver for hire entering the local freight market, to working your way up to create a national transportation company.
SCS Software haven’t stated which VR head-mounted displays will be supported by American Truck Simulator but previous title Euro Truck Simulator 2 did support the Oculus Rift HMD and its Steam page does list VR support.
There are also additional features added to the new title, including an in-game Photo Mode to capture the best moments and share them with the World of Trucks on-line community, upload and use your custom avatar and license plate in the game and see the best images hand-picked by the game creators in Editor’s Pick updated almost every day.
There’s no current release date for American Truck Simulator, but when SCS Software does release further details, VRFocus will be there to report them.
