August has seen a healthy mix of virtual reality (VR) at events like Gamescom and SIGGRAPH, and there’s no slowing down as the San Francisco Virtual Reality (SFVR) #10 Meetup has now announced its full line-up of exhibitors to the event next week.
Attending the event will be Jaunt VR, which will be demoing cinematic VR experiences. Daniel Burwen from Jaunt will also be speaking about the company’s new NEO camera and a general history of the evolution of traditional film to VR filmmaking. Virzoom Inc will be holding a talk and demos on its sensors which turn your own bicycle or stationary bicycle into a customized VR game machine.
Other companies with demonstrations are: Lucidcam, Dodocase, Meta, Leap Motion, SpaceVR, Greenlight VR, RalphVR and Lili Qui an associate professor at University of Texas, Austin, who will be showing a system called Champion Air Tracker developed by the university.
SFVR #10 will be held on Tuesday 18th August 2015 at Mighty in San Francisco between 6pm – 10pm. The venue has enough capacity for 400 people but due to the popularity of the event tickets on Eventbright are already sold out.
VRFocus will continue to report on further events by SFVR as they’re announced.
