Indie developer Parabole has now confirmed in an update on its Kickstarter campaign page that the first episode for upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame, will be called Kôna: Day One. Also in the update Parabole included new alpha footage of the VR title, which features full support for the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD).
Kôna is an episodic, atmospheric survival-adventure game that takes place in the 1970s Northern Quebec, Canada. As the new official title suggests, the first episode Kôna: Day One takes place in one day. Casting players as a war veteran turned private detective named Carl Faubert, you are hired by a rich industrialist named W. Hamilton to look into vandalism carried out on his summer home in Northern Quebec, Canada. However, as Faubert arrives on the scene he finds that the entire area is deserted. Players will investigate the disappearance of the local community, exploring the area, uncovering clues and driving vehicles.
Parabole will be demoing the title at PAX this weekend at booth 7012, and VRFocus will be there to report on any further news and announcements from the show.
